Islands - the battle fought between s hips of the fleet of American and Japanese March 27, 1943 near Ko mandorskich Islands. The American forces included: the heavy crui ser USS Salt Lake City , the light cruiser USS Richmond , and 4 destroyers. Team led Admiral Charles McMorris The Japanese force included: heavy cruisers Maya and Nachi, light cruisers: Abukuma and Dam and 4 destroyers. Team led Admiral Boshiro Hosogaya.
